MAX Charter School is dedicated to supporting the development of all children. Our teachers and support staff use proven methodologies and a highly effective curriculum to help children grow academically, socially, and physically. Our faculty regularly participates in professional development in order to improve skills and offer a better learning experience for the children.
We use two major interventions to serve the needs of children with dyslexia and related learning differences. Project Read as interventions have been shown scientifically to provide the structured and sequential instruction that is effective for children with dyslexia and related learning differences. Our teachers have been given extensive training in these two interventions and other professional development so that we can properly serve this unique population of students.

Pupil Progression Plan
The MAX Charter School’s Pupil Progression Plan is a document which outlines the criteria to be met by students to achieve academic success in school and be promoted to the next grade level. The plan was developed by the Pupil Progression Plan Committee which consisted of MAX Charter School administration, faculty, board members, and parents. The plan is reviewed annually by the committee and is submitted to the Louisiana Board of Elementary and Secondary Education for approval.
